The Carolinas offices of Kirlin hosted a total of five “lunch & learns” in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C., and Greenville, S.C., attended by over 150 general contractor interns and early career employees. The purpose was to learn more about the mechanical trade and how Kirlin remains at the forefront of mechanical systems, technology and products. The seminar featured a discussion on BIM and how useful BIM can be in projects – not only in scheduling, coordination, pricing, but also in safety. The sessions were open to all general contractors, providing an opportunity for networking and meeting peers within the industry. The seminar focused on a few of the most common mechanical systems, but also included a little science behind the systems. Kirlin will be hosting these same events again next summer.
