ABC Carolinas Announces 2018 Programs
The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas recently announced their schedule for 2018 events, programs, socials and training.
“In 2018, ABC events will provide a unique opportunity for members to be directly involved with all aspects of the chapter’s success,” said Michelle Lewter, ABC of the Carolinas Vice President. “ABC staff has worked diligently to ensure each ABC event offers something of value to its members in 2018.”
According to ABC, the association will offer a record number of events in 2018. The association offers programs through nine councils based throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Each of the nine Councils is led by a local leadership team that is involved in developing programming that is relevant to the local markets. “ABC events will also provide an opportunity for members to stay up to date on current issues and safety measures influencing the industry,” she said.
ABC recently opened a training center in the Raleigh area. The association also has a training facility in Charlotte and offers apprenticeship and training programs throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
In addition, ABC of the Carolinas anticipates a strong year in government affairs. ABC members will be able to lead an effort to support sound public policy through its government affairs in both Raleigh, Columbia, and Washington. The association has Hard Hat Legislative Days schedule in Raleigh and Columbia, as well as a trip to Washington DC in June.
For 2018, ABC of the Carolinas signature events include: the Carolinas Construction Conference in Charleston; the Safety and Human Resources Conference in Charlotte; and the Excellence in Construction Awards in Charlotte.
