CAGC President & CEO Dave Simpson Honored with GroundBreaker Award

Carolinas AGC (CAGC) is excited to announce that its President and CEO Dave Simpson, CAE, has been chosen as the recipient of the 2026 GroundBreaker Lifetime Achievement Award by GroundBreak Carolinas. Additionally, CAGC member Chad Frampton, President and CEO of Frampton Construction, was also honored with a GroundBreaker award.

Simpson, who joined CAGC in 1989 and has served as President and CEO for the past twelve years, has helped strengthen the Carolinas’ construction industry though his advocacy, workforce development, safety, education and member-engagement efforts. He’s played a key role in legislation affecting underground safety, alternative project-delivery methods and expanded Career and Technical Education opportunities, while also serving in leadership roles with the Association Executives of North Carolina and AGC of America, including currently being Immediate Past Chair of AGCA’s Executive Leadership Council Board of Directors, which oversees the AGC’s 87 chapters across the nation.
