LS3P Names Laura Miller as Next Chief Practice Officer

by GroundBreak Carolinas on June 17, 2026

LS3P, a multidisciplinary architecture, interiors, and planning firm serving the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Laura Miller has been named the firm’s next Chief Practice Officer (CPO).

With a 26-year career at LS3P, Miller brings a deep understanding of the firm’s practice and a longstanding commitment to its mission and values. Her experience spans roles as project architect, project manager, Operations and Finance Manager (OFM), and most recently, Wilmington Office Leader. Across these roles, she has led high-performing teams, delivered complex projects, and strengthened both client relationships and operational performance.

Miller’s leadership extends beyond the firm through her service as President of AIA North Carolina and AIA Wilmington, in addition to numerous professional and community contributions.

“Laura’s breadth of experience and her ability to connect design excellence with strong project execution make her uniquely suited for this role,” said Katherine Peele, the firm’s current CPO. “She also brings a thoughtful perspective on how we continue evolving our practice to meet the needs of our clients and communities.”

As Chief Practice Officer, Miller will lead the integration and advancement of LS3P’s firmwide practice strategy—strengthening how the firm delivers work across teams and offices. Her focus will include elevating design excellence, quality, and risk management, while advancing technical expertise, sustainability, research, and innovation. In this role, she will help ensure alignment across the firm’s people, processes, and knowledge to support continued growth and high performance.

“Laura’s career exemplifies strong, sustained leadership demonstrated through her advancement at LS3P, her deep commitment to community engagement, and her influential role within the architectural profession. These experiences collectively position her with the expertise and strategic insight needed to lead Practice Integration at LS3P,” said Marc Marchant, LS3P’s CEO.

Miller will transition into the role over the coming months, working alongside Peele, with full transition anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026.

About LS3P: Founded in 1963, LS3P is an architecture, interiors, and planning firm with regional roots and national reach.
