SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service land design firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, is excited to announce the completion of its work on the new Credit One Stadium, formerly known as the Volvo Car Stadium on Daniel Island. SeamonWhiteside performed civil engineering and construction administration and was one of two landscape architecture companies on the project. The Credit One Stadium opened to the public just in time for the Credit One Charleston Open.
The new stadium has increased the overall capacity from 7,000 to 11,000 and is an ideal venue for concerts and other major international performances.
“We are excited about all the potential this new stadium brings to Daniel Island. It has been a pleasure to contribute to this project alongside so many accomplished and talented partners to take this 20-year-old City-owned facility and transform it into a 21st-century world-class performance and sports venue,” says Lee Gastley, Managing Principal at SeamonWhiteside. “We can’t wait for the memorable events that will take place in this space for years to come.”
SeamonWhiteside worked closely with architects LS3P and Rossetti and Choate Construction Company.
