CarolinaPower Welcomes Dr. Christopher Traugh as Director of Construction Services

by GroundBreak Carolinas on May 19, 2026

CarolinaPower, a leading employee-owned, regional electrical contractor with four offices in South Carolina, has hired Christopher Traugh, DBA, as Director of Construction Services. In this role, Traugh will provide strategic leadership for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Prefabrication/Manufacturing for CarolinaPower, as well as sister company Georgia-based MetroPower. His responsibilities include oversight of teams and facilities in Columbia, SC, and Atlanta, GA.

Traugh brings more than 20 years of proven leadership in manufacturing operations, lean transformation, and construction prefabrication. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Manufacturing for one of the largest commercial and industrial mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) contractors in the Mid-South, where he spearheaded significant growth in prefabrication capabilities, built scalable modular operations and led a culture shift centered on safety, transparency, and employee care.

“Chris is known for his visionary leadership, process innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. These attributes, together with his strong track record for combining operational excellence with innovative thinking, should serve him well in taking our Construction Services to a new level,” said Travis Oswald, Senior Vice President of CarolinaPower. “Besides leading teams at CarolinaPower and MetroPower, Chris will be working closely with other companies in the PPC family to align strategy, share best practices and help guide the overall company’s Construction Services vision for delivering consistent value to our clients.”

Traugh holds both a Doctorate and a Master’s of Business Administration and is Lean Six Sigma certified. His undergraduate degree is in Industrial Engineering.
