DPR Construction Named One of America’s Dream Employers by Forbes

by DPR Construction on November 3, 2026

DPR Construction, a forward-thinking, self-performing builder, has been named to Forbes’ America’s Dream Employers 2027 list.

The recognition reflects college students’ interest in working for DPR and employees’ willingness to recommend the company as an employer. The ranking, developed by Forbes and Statista, is based on independent surveys of college students and employees across the United States.

“For people looking for more than a job, today’s construction industry offers a broader range of careers than many people realize, from building and fabrication to technology, logistics and more,” said George Pfeffer, DPR Construction CEO and Leadership Team member. “DPR brings those capabilities together to deliver great projects while giving our teammates opportunities to learn, grow and build rewarding careers.”

DPR’s focus on employee’s growth begins early and continues throughout their careers. One example is the company’s Builder Development Program, an 18-month rotational experience designed for students entering the construction industry after college. More than 200 engineers currently participate in the program, gaining hands-on field experience and structured learning and coaching while contributing to active project teams.

“Early experiences shape a person’s professional journey,” said Vicki Angell, who leads DPR’s early career programs. “The Builder Development Program gives new engineers meaningful project experience, strong support and feedback, and exposure to the many opportunities available in construction, helping them quickly build their skills and network while finding the path that’s right for them.”

That focus on providing opportunities and creating a place where people can build meaningful careers extends across DPR. Earlier this year, 97 percent of employees surveyed said DPR is a great place to work. The company has also been recognized by local and national organizations as a top workplace.
