People make the construction industry what it is today. That’s why GroundBreak Carolinas is pleased to begin introducing you to the seven finalists in our inaugural GroundBreakers Awards competition. Over the next few months we will be sharing the stories of the inaugural class of GroundBreakers – individuals who are shaping our industry in a variety of ways.
Joshua B. (Josh) Mauney is the founder and CEO of Paragon Safety Group, Inc., a full-service safety consulting firm based in Raleigh, N.C., which provides safety training, staffing, consulting and digital safety management to general contractors, specialty subcontractors and service-based companies throughout the Southeast. Paragon Safety Group has seen outstanding growth each year as the construction market has surged and companies continue to see the value in partnering with a firm whose primary focus is risk management, as well as the safety and well-being of their employees.
Josh currently sits on the ABC of the Carolinas Board of Directors and is a finalist for the national ABC organization’s 2018 Top Young Professionals Award. In addition, he was recently recognized by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as a recipient of their Top Young Professionals Award for 2018.
Josh’s philosophy is that hard work, personal initiative and performance get rewarded with opportunities and success. As a sign that he has posted in his office aptly states: “Good things come to those who hustle.”
