A M King Moves Greenville Operation to Larger Office Space to Accommodate Rapid Growth in Upstate

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff on February 12, 2020

Charlotte-based A M King, an integrated Design-Build firm with an established presence in Upstate South Carolina, has moved its Greenville operation into new, larger office space that will support both a growing staff and ever-increasing work for manufacturing, food processing and cold storage distribution clients in the Upstate region.  A M King purchased a building strategically located just off I-385 and Butler Road in Regent Park, providing the Greenville team with double the space and a more contemporary feel than the company’s previous location.

The new office is a two-story building built in 2009 with a brick facade, a metal roof, 12-foot ceilings and natural light throughout. The modern finishes and open layout mirror A M King’s headquarters in Charlotte. For the past 15 years, A M King’s local operation occupied space in the Merovan Business Center.

“This move reinforces A M King’s continued commitment to the Upstate. We are excited about the projected growth in our established market sectors here,” explains Andre Harris, Greenville business unit leader. “Our new offices will accommodate our ever-growing staff, foster collaborative efforts and enable us to significantly increase our revenue.”

For more than a decade, A M King’s Greenville office has managed 1,000-plus projects at General Electric’s Greenville campus—home of the world’s largest gas turbine plant—as part of an ongoing facility services program. Currently Harris and his team are developing similar programs at Honeywell Aerospace and ZF Transmissions. In addition, the group was instrumental in the recent completion of a 115,122-square-foot greenfield facility in Laurens, S.C. for TrueCore, a manufacturer of Insulated Metal Panels (IMP). Another A M King project in nearby Liberty, S.C. is nearing completion—a 310,000 sf bakery and company headquarters renovation for U.S. Waffle Company, Inc.

A M King-Greenville’s new offices are located at 400 Regent Park Court. An open house celebrating the move is scheduled in early April.

A M King is an integrated Design-Build firm based in Charlotte, NC with offices in Greenville, SC and Chicago, IL. The firm consistently and successfully delivers quality projects throughout the United States. With an experienced team committed to protecting clients’ assets, the company provides property consulting, design and engineering, construction and facility services in the sectors of industrial manufacturing, food processing, food distribution, healthcare and commercial properties. A M King’s exemplary track record demonstrates that the company is focused on its mission to be the best in the industry.
