ABC Carolinas Celebrates 2020 Graduates of Apprenticeship & Craft Training Program
Charlotte, NC — ABC Carolinas recently celebrated the graduation of 11 electrical apprentices enrolled in the chapter’s four-year Apprenticeship & Craft Training Program. Be sure to check out ABC Carolinas’ slideshow tribute to the Class of 2020 apprenticeship graduates.
Participants in ABC Carolinas’ educational program work full-time during the day and attend evening classes – two nights per week each semester – at either the Charlotte or Triangle (Apex, N.C.) campus. The program uses standardized curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). In addition to their education, apprenticeship students are certified by ApprenticeshipNC while receiving full-time on-the-job instruction with an ABC member company.
“Congratulations to our 2020 graduates! We know that this takes a strong commitment from the students as well as our members who are their supporting companies. ABC values our students and our participating member firms,” said Amy Sullivan-Hicks, President/CEO of ABC Carolinas.
Congratulations to the following graduates from participating ABC Carolinas member contractors:
Fountain Electric Company – Ivan Roman
Gaylor Electric Company – Charles Shine
Hinson Electric Company – John Shirlen
Romanoff Electrical – Josh Leonard
Starr Electric Company – Cristian Hernandez-Lopez (Class Valedictorian), Ivan Lopez-Gomez, Kyle Truett, and Kyle Yacevich
