ABC Carolinas Celebrates Member Firms Earning Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) Status
ABC Carolinas congratulates all of its member firms that were named Accredited Quality Contractors (AQC) by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) last month. These 32 companies from the Carolinas earned this prestigious national credential for their commitment to corporate responsibility – documenting this commitment in five areas: Quality, Safety Performance, Talent Management, Craft and Management Education, and Community Relations, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity.
The stringent criteria set forth in the AQC program includes a requirement that companies must have earned Gold-level or higher status in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System.

The Accredited Quality Contractor program was launched in 1993. A total of 450 of the nation’s elite merit shop construction contractors earned the AQC credential in 2021.
Associated Builders and Contractors is a national construction industry trade association established in 1950 that represents more than 22,000 members. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 69 chapters help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.
