ABC Carolinas extends its congratulations to all member firms recognized as Accredited Quality Contractors (AQC) by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) last month. These 34 Carolina-based companies have achieved this esteemed national credential as a result of their dedication to corporate responsibility, showcasing their commitment across five key areas: Quality, Safety Performance, Talent Management, Craft and Management Education, and Community Relations, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.

The stringent criteria set forth in the AQC program includes a requirement that companies must have earned Gold-level or higher status in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System.
The Accredited Quality Contractor program was launched in 1993. Over 550 of the nation’s elite merit shop construction contractors earned the AQC credential in 2024.
