ABC Carolinas Introduces 2024 Board of Directors and Regional Leadership Council Chairs
Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC Carolinas) is pleased to announce its 2024 Board of Directors and the Regional Leadership Council (RLC) Chairs. Seven of the 20 ABC Carolinas Board members are based in South Carolina, with the other 13 located in North Carolina. The RLC Chairs represent seven Councils comprising three regions in South Carolina and four regions in North Carolina. Together, this leadership group serves a total of more than 450 member firms in North and South Carolina.
Kristen Powell, President and CEO of ABC Carolinas, welcomed the 2024 Board, noting “As a chapter covering two states, it is crucial that the Board reflects the diversity of its membership in terms of disciplines and geographic location. The Board’s composition is particularly important in ensuring that the needs and opinions of all members are represented. Under the leadership of the Board and RLCs, ABC Carolinas will continue to prioritize its commitment to the next generation through our Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program and other workforce development initiatives. Additionally, safety and member value will remain at the forefront of all activities,” said Powell.
Allen Amsler, CEO of McCrory Construction, has been elected 2024 Chair of the Board of Directors. “ABC Carolinas represents many successful member organizations – general contractors, construction management firms, specialty contractors, material and equipment suppliers, and service providers – and it’s clear that developing future leaders is the lifeline to our collective long-term success,” said Amsler. “Of course, we will continue to be champions of safety and workforce development. Equally important, we will continue to be a voice heard nationally and regionally when it comes to shaping policy to further our deeply rooted merit shop philosophy.”
Amsler added, “As I step into my role as 2024 Chair, I am energized by the unprecedented growth potential for our industry in the Carolinas. In keeping with our vision, ‘Building the Next Generation’ is a theme that will be evident throughout the year, including our Annual Construction Convention, which will be held in downtown Greenville, S.C. in August.”
