ABC Carolinas Kicks Off Holidays with Storm Recovery Book Drive for School Libraries

ABC Carolinas Chapter will be collecting books at its Holiday Socials and other gatherings in December to restock school libraries damaged by Hurricane Florence.

“Your generosity is deeply appreciated,” said Kristen Powell, ABC Carolinas Chapter director of external relations. “In past years, our various Councils have held toy drives this time of year, but because of the widespread flooding in our region and the major losses incurred, we decided to shift our focus this year based on the need.”

Tuesday, December 11 – Fayetteville Holiday Social (Fayetteville)

Thursday, December 13 – Coastal Holiday Social (Wrightsville Beach)

Thursday, December 18 – Charlotte Holiday Social (Charlotte)

Note: There is no Upstate SC event scheduled.

Books can also be dropped off at ABC Carolinas Chapter offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and Columbia. Upstate SC drop-off location(s) will be communicated to ABC Upstate members.
