ABC Carolinas Members Win Eagle Awards in National ABC EIC Awards Competition
ABC Carolinas members had three winning entries in the 2019 ABC National Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards Competition. Robins & Morton won two National Eagle Awards: one in the Health Care > Up to $10 million category for Duke Health Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades in Durham, N.C.; the other in the Health Care > $25 to $100 million category for Atrium Health Cabarrus Heart and Vascular Bed Tower in Concord, N.C.
LeChase Construction Services LLC won a National Eagle Award in the Historical Restoration / Renovation > $25 to $100 million category for the Duke University Crowell Quad Residence Hall Renovation in Durham, N.C.
A total of 92 awards will be presented during ABC Convention 2020 in Nashville – postponed to August 18, 2020. The EIC awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects.

The Carolinas has some of the best contractors in the industry, and we are honored to show off their esteemed projects nationwide. A panel of industry experts served as the competition’s judges. This year’s panel included representatives from Building Owners and Managers Association International, Smithsonian Facilities Construction Division, Construction Management Association of America, Engineering News-Record, Design-Build Institute of America and various construction-related firms nationwide.
