Program History
The CAGC Foundation was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the North Carolina General Assembly to work in partnership with the NC Community College System to create a training and workforce development initiative, the Construction Bootcamp. This comprehensive, accelerated basic construction training program is designed to give students the skills they need to succeed in the construction industry while also pairing program graduates with mentors and opportunities for immediate job placement, apprenticeships, internships and degree programs through the CAGC Foundation’s expansive network of partner members. All training, education and program supply costs will be covered by grant funding.
