Bobby Ley: Thomas & Hutton’s Newest Licensed PE in South Carolina
COLUMBIA, SC, January 29, 2021 — Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce their newest licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of South Carolina, Bobby Ley. Bobby passed the PE Environmental exam in 2019 and recently satisfied the experience requirement needed to become a PE.
Bobby Ley joined Thomas & Hutton’s Columbia Civil Department as a Designer in June of 2018. He has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University. He specializes in providing site engineering services such as water, wastewater, grading, and stormwater drainage design for the development of industrial and commercial sites throughout the state of South Carolina. In his role as a Designer, Bobby is responsible for preparation of master plans, construction plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and site observation. He also prepares the submittal of construction and operating permit applications to state and federal regulatory agencies, with stormwater permitting being his area of expertise.
Bobby’s current projects include the master planning and development of the Connexial Center in Laurens County, SC, a streambank restoration and gas main pipe protection plan, site and utility design for multiple speculative buildings, and preparation of United States Army Corps of Engineers permit drawings for wetland and stream impacts for various transmission line upgrades.
