Boyer Construction Welcomes Brigadier General (Retired) General Charles Masaracchia as Director of Organizational Development

Columbia, SC – Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc. announced today that Brigadier General (Retired) Charles J. Masaracchia has joined Boyer Construction as Director of Organizational Development.

Masaracchia, 52, retired from the United States Army on October 1, 2022, after 30 years of distinguished service as an officer in the United States Army. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry from Norwich University, Masaracchia served our country in a variety of leadership roles and participated in ten combat deployments during his Army career.

General Masaracchia said, “It is an honor to serve on a team whose morals, values and ethics so closely resemble the standards that I have experienced in the military. Brian has built an incredible team of professionals who are committed to excellence. I look forward to supporting their continued growth.”

Throughout Masaracchia’s 30 years of military service, he served in assignments throughout the United States and multiple deployments to other nations. Masaracchia held command and leadership positions at every level from Platoon Leader, Operations Officer, Commander, Chief of Staff and immediately prior to retirement, he served as Director of the Mission Command Center of Excellence at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In this role, Masaracchia led 10 influential and innovative Army and Joint organizations which were responsible for identification, development, integration, and synchronization of Command-and-Control requirements and solutions to military leaders and formations.

He was concurrently responsible for 338 Army doctrine publications and leadership development initiatives for the total Army force including 1.5 million military and civilian personnel. He served as Lead Facilitator for the operations block of instruction for the Army’s 2-Star General Officer Warfighter Course.

His awards include the Army Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit with “C” device, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Service Meritorious Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal for Valor, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Master Parachutist Badge. Masaracchia was also awarded the Afghan Military Medal for Outstanding Military Service by the President of Afghanistan, President Ashraf Ghani.

Masaracchia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Norwich University and attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill as a United States Army Special Operations Command, War College Fellow, studying within the Triangle Institute of Strategic Studies and National Security Studies.

He is married to the former Kimberly Ballou of Royalton, Vermont. They have three children; two sons and one daughter; Corey, Matthew, and Alice.
