Building More than a Home: Three Generations, One Project
I’m really excited to share a special project close to my heart – building our “forever home” with my husband, dad, and daughter. This experience resonates deeply with my role as a healthcare builder and has made me think about how and why I chose and continue to choose this profession.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Like in commercial construction, teamwork is key. Each family member brings unique skills, emphasizing the power of collaboration.
Precision & Planning: Just as in hospital projects, detailed planning and meticulous execution are crucial. Precision matters, whether it’s a healthcare facility or a family home.
Passing on Wisdom: Working with my dad is a priceless learning experience for both Josh and me. It mirrors the mentorship I value and strive for in my professional life.
Three Generations, One House: Our home symbolizes continuity and unity. The shared challenges and triumphs are creating lasting memories. Working side by side with our hands, pulling wire or pouring concrete has shown we cannot do this alone.
From Commercial to Personal: Construction is about creating enduring spaces, whether for hospitals or homes. This journey has reinforced my passion for building places that heal and the impact it has on lives.
Grateful for the Journey: Building with loved ones has reminded me of the beauty in merging professional expertise with personal life. It’s not easy. In fact, it’s been pretty hard, but without the support of all of our family and friends, this wouldn’t be possible. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to build this life.
