CAGC Awards 2023 Construction Scholarships to Seven Deserving Students
The Carolinas AGC Foundation Scholarship program was put into place to assist individuals studying for careers in the construction industry as well as those wishing to advance their skills and knowledge to further their construction careers. Carolinas AGC (CAGC) is excited to announce the seven 2023 CAGC Foundation Scholarship recipients.
$3,500 Scholarships:
Nathan Mead, Guilford Technical Community College
Nathan Mead will be attending Guilford Technical Community College in the Fall to pursue Construction Management. After graduating from Southwestern Randolph High School in June of 2022, Nathan began working at Myrick Construction as a steel worker. It was the leadership at Myrick that encouraged Nathan to pursue construction management at Guilford Tech. He has passion for our industry, the drive to do his very best, and he loves what he does.

Seth Phillips, Clemson University
Seth is a student at Clemson University pursuing a Construction Science and Management degree. During the Summer of 2022, Seth interned with Fifty-Four Construction and is currently interning with Harper Corporation in Greenville, SC. Seth was raised with his Dad being in our industry and loves the field work. During his interview Seth stated he likes building for people and making it a better place.

Erik Zeppelin, Clemson University
Erik was a student at Tri-County Tech in the Upstate of South Carolina and is now going to be attending Clemson University to pursue his Construction Science and Management degree. After graduating from high school, Erik took a gap year and began working at State Utility Contractors in Monroe, NC. That is where his love for the construction industry grew. One thing from his interview that we always love to hear from our future workforce is that construction has taken over his life. We can’t wait to see Erik in the future at our events.
