CarolinaPower: Only Specialty Contractor to Make 2020 List of Best Places to Work in South Carolina

by Joan Krause, GroundBreak Carolinas on August 25, 2020

For the third consecutive year, CarolinaPower has been named one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina – a prestigious list of the state’s top-notch employers. A leading regional electrical contractor with four offices in South Carolina and an extensive field force, CarolinaPower was the the only specialty contractor to make the list. CarolinaPower ranked No. 13 in the Large Employer category, defined as 250 or more U.S. employees.

“Once again, we owe this honor to our employees who voluntarily – and anonymously – participated in the Best Places to Work survey,” said Chris Moore, president of CarolinaPower. “In 2020, the world learned what we always knew… that construction is essential. I want to personally thank the entire CarolinaPower family for keeping each other safe while completing projects in an unprecedented environment.”

Now in its 15th year, the Best Places to Work in South Carolina survey-and-awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the state, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The program was created by SC Biz News in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group.

CarolinaPower and other ranked companies were recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on August 21, 2020.

About Best Places to Work in South Carolina Program – Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
