CarolinaPower Promotes Bradley Michie to Branch Manager in Columbia

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff on January 21, 2025

CarolinaPower, a leading employee-owned, regional electrical contractor, has promoted Bradley Michie to Branch Manager for the firm’s operation in Columbia, S.C. – one of four offices in South Carolina. As the new Branch Manager, Michie assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Columbia office, which has served the Midlands region of South Carolina up to the North Carolina border for nearly 20 years. The branch’s project experience reflects all of the company’s key markets – industrial, commercial, healthcare, federal and higher education.

Michie has 15 years of experience in electrical contracting, all of which has been with CarolinaPower and the PPC family of companies. He began his career as Management Trainee with sister company MetroPower in Albany, Georgia, where he gained valuable field experience as an Assistant Project Manager. Michie joined the CarolinaPower team in Columbia in 2014 as a Project Manager, taking on increasingly responsible roles over the past 10 years – most recently, serving as Department Manager.

CarolinaPower President Chris Moore noted, “Bradley exemplifies the possibilities of career progression within our company – starting in field in South Georgia and growing into management. As the Columbia branch grew, Bradley jumped at the opportunity to join the Columbia team and helped capitalize on this emerging market for CarolinaPower. Bradley’s strong appreciation for the field, together with his desire to be engaged in the Columbia construction community, will certainly lead to continued business growth for CarolinaPower in the Midlands.”

Michie is passionate about training and mentoring the next generation in electrical construction. As a leader in the Columbia Electrical Council, and as a board member at several local technical schools, he is personally invested in the future of the electrical trade. Michie is a 2010 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.

Previous Columbia Branch Manager Wyatt Gwyn is now Industrial Operations Executive – a new position focused on supporting and growing CarolinaPower’s industrial sector across all business units.

About CarolinaPower — CarolinaPower is a leading regional electrical contractor serving industrial, commercial, healthcare and federal market sectors in South Carolina and North Carolina. CarolinaPower has a total of four offices across South Carolina with plans for opening additional offices in North Carolina. To learn more, visit www.carolinapower.com.
