CarolinaPower Welcomes Madison Younginer as Account Manager

by Joan Krause, GroundBreak Carolinas on February 8, 2019

CarolinaPower, a leading employee-owned electrical contractor with four offices in South Carolina, has added Madison Younginer to its business development team as Account Manager. Younginer comes to CarolinaPower following 10 years in professional baseball. In his new role, Younginer will focus on raising awareness about CarolinaPower’s capabilities and services across the two-state Carolinas region.

In addition to identifying new business opportunities in the company’s key markets – industrial, commercial, healthcare and federal, Younginer will work in tandem with Business Development Manager Mike Sease to cultivate new relationships with general contractors in both Carolinas, as well as maintain existing relationships. Another priority is to introduce CarolinaPower to end-users who have maintenance and service needs.

Younginer was drafted by the Red Sox in 2009 following his graduation from Greenville County’s Mauldin High School. He made his Major League debut in 2016 with the Atlanta Braves. Younginer officially retired from baseball after completing a month-long assignment in January 2019 with the Canberra Cavalry of the Australian Baseball League.

“Madison brings a fresh approach to business development that we believe will be a real asset for CarolinaPower as we implement our aggressive plan for growth in the Carolinas electrical service and construction community. He gained invaluable life experience during his decade in professional sports, especially when it comes to learning to effectively deal with people of different ages and backgrounds. Elite athletes have a unique drive for results, and I believe that’s what Madison is going to bring to our team,” said Chris Moore, CarolinaPower Vice President and General Manager.

Younginer began working with CarolinaPower last fall in preparation for joining the company full-time effective February 1, 2019. He is already active in several professional associations, including South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Carolinas Chapter, and Carolinas AGC (CAGC). Younginer is also getting involved in various business networking groups and local community service organizations where CarolinaPower has offices.
