Carolinas AGC to Assume Administration of Longstanding MASC Trades Certification Program
Effective January 1, 2026, the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (Carolinas AGC) will assume responsibility for the administrative oversight of the longstanding MASC Trades Certification Program. Moving forward, the program will be known as the CAGC SC Trades Certification Program.
To be clear—and this point matters—the certification program itself is not changing. The exams, standards, eligibility, and testing process remain exactly the same. The only change is who is administering the program.
This transition ensures continuity for a certification program that has served South Carolina’s municipalities, contractors, and skilled trades professionals for decades, while positioning it for long-term sustainability under an organization whose mission has centered on workforce development since 1920.

PROV will continue to manage exam scheduling, testing delivery, and scoring. - Exam content, structure, and requirements remain unchanged
