Carolinas AGC Welcomes New Staff to CAGC Foundation
Carolinas AGC recently added three new staff members to the CAGC Foundation. Sequilla McLean, Apprenticeship Manager, Sharra Hill, Grant Budget & Accounting Manager, and L’anika Morehead, Grants and Program Manager, bring years of experience, knowledge and passion to drive the Foundation forward.
Sequilla McLean, Apprenticeship Manager
Sequilla McClean, working under the Carolinas AGC Foundation, administers the apprenticeship and internship program through industry employers focused on the Construction Bootcamp. She also coordinates work-based learning opportunities for the Bootcamp students and serves as the bridge between CAGC program staff, industry employers, and community college program staff in North Carolina and South Carolina. McClean comes to CAGC from NC A&T University where she was the STEM Early College Instructional Technology Facilitator & Career Development Coordinator for the past five and a half years. Prior to that, she was a career coach at Randolph Community College and served as a Career and Technical Education Teacher at Fairmont High School in Fairmont, NC. McClean graduated from Ashford University with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC Greensboro.
Sharra Hill, Grant Budget & Accounting Manager
Sharra Hill, working under the Carolinas AGC Foundation, oversees all grant accounting and budgeting, and provides program support for the Construction Business Academy and Construction Bootcamps. Hill comes to CAGC from the North Carolina Trucking Association Foundation where she was directly responsible for administering the $5 million SFRF grant funding from the NC legislature. Hill has an extensive history of working in higher education and served as the Budget and Grant Specialist for her alma mater, Johnson C. Smith University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She also holds an M.B.A from University of Phoenix.
L’anika Morehead, Grants and Program Manager
L’anika Morehead, working under the Carolinas AGC Foundation, is responsible for administering the grants for the Construction Business Academy and Construction Bootcamps and works in partnership with the grants team and accounting department to ensure compliance with state and federal guidance. With the Foundation Director, Morehead also serves as the point person in overseeing any third-party or independent contractors with program management. Morehead comes to CAGC from Guilford County Schools where she was the project manager and coach for the past four years. Prior to that, she served as an instructional coach and teacher for over 10 years with Guilford County Schools. Morehead holds an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management and a NC School Administrator’s license.
