Carolinas Contractors Honored with National Awards

The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) announced the recipients of the nations premier construction honors, the National Excellence In Construction (EIC) Awards.   The awards were presented at the 27th annual EIC banquet during ABC’s Workforce Week ’17 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

“I am proud to honor the commitment to world-class safety, superior craftsmanship and cutting-edge innovation that these Associated Builders and Contractors members and their employees brought to the jobsite every day,” said 2017 ABC National Chair Chuck Goodrich, President of Gaylor Electric Inc., Indianapolis. “The scope of this year’s Excellence in Construction award-winning projects, from sports arenas and hospitals to hotels and universities, proves that if it can be built, the merit shop can build it, on time and on budget.”

Rodgers, Charlotte, NC – Carolinas Medical Center – Main Kitchen Renovation Healthcare – $10 to $25 million, Pyramid Award

Rodgers, Charlotte, NC – Carteret Health Care – Specialty Pavilion and Vertical Expansion Healthcare – $25 to $100 million – Pyramid Award

Waldrop Mechanical Services, Greenville, SC – Cummins Technical Center-Charleston – Chiller Plant Replacement and Piping Distribution System Project Industrial – Less than $5 million -Pyramid Award

Waldrop Mechanical Services, Greenville, SC – Walhalla Elementary School – HVAC Renovations Mechanical: Commercial – Less than $2 million – Eagle Award

Waldrop Mechanical Services, Greenville, SC – Furman University Lakeside Residence Hall Renovations – Phase II Mechanical: Commercial – $2 to 10 million – Eagle Award – Productivity Award
