Catalyst Expands Product Offerings, Launches Commercial Insurance Division

Charlotte-based Catalyst Surety Partners, LLC (Catalyst), with plans to open a Columbia office in April, recently announced the formal launch of a commercial insurance division. Since the agency’s founding in 2014, Catalyst’s singular aim has been to help contractors succeed. To date Catalyst has worked to live up to that aspiration by providing just one product, surety bonds. While the Catalyst team is immensely proud of the agency that they’ve collectively built – known for robust bonding capabilities provided within a best-in-class service platform – they tirelessly look for ways to drive more value to our clients.

Over the years countless clients have asked Catalyst if they could also help them with their commercial insurance. They heard from many clients that the level of service they were provided by their commercial insurance agent was inconsistent and, frankly, inadequate. These client inquiries eventually became too frequent and too loud for the team to ignore any longer. As a result, they set out on an extensive study of the traditional commercial insurance agency model. They found that a number of contractors were obtaining their insurance through agents that either didn’t truly understand construction or were simply complacent.
