Celebrating 5 Years at GroundBreak Carolinas
Time sure does go fast. The team at GroundBreak Carolinas is excited to celebrate our 5th anniversary. When we started out in January 2017, the vision was for GroundBreak Carolinas to provide a connection between all parts of the construction industry. Over the years we’ve had the opportunity to tell stories, share insights and perspectives, focus on industry challenges, and celebrate successes in the industry. Most importantly, thanks to you, we’ve achieved our goal of providing connections in the construction industry in North Carolina and South Carolina.
We couldn’t have survived for five years without great partners and content contributors like CarolinaPower, DHG (soon-to-be Forvis), A M King, Davis & Floyd, Harris Integrated Solutions, Elmore Goldsmith Kelley and Deholl, Waldrop Mechanical, Clemson University’s Construction Science and Management (CSM) program, ABC Carolinas, Carolinas AGC, Chix Dig It, and many more.
According to Forbes magazine, only 45 percent of businesses manage to make the five-year mark. Candidly, the last few years have been a challenge with a convergence of events including COVID-19, political, social and financial challenges facing our industry. German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche is credited with the quote “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” His message of resilience resonates with us today as we embark on the next chapter of building GroundBreak Carolinas,
During the last five years, we have published over 1,500 articles and stories, distributed over 240 eNewsletters, generated over 1.5 million impressions, supported and managed dozens of in-person and virtual events, recognized those advancing the industry through our GroundBreaker Awards program, and most importantly, encouraged and driven engagement in the industry.
Going forward, we plan to build upon the solid foundation GroundBreak Carolinas has built by continuing to provide relevant insights, drive engagement and focus on continuous improvement in the construction industry in the Carolinas. We want you on the team! Consider becoming a GroundBreak Carolinas partner or content contributor and help us build our future together in the Carolinas.
