Cherry Bekaert Transfers Asheboro, N.C., Office Ownership

by GroundBreak Staff on August 1, 2019

Cherry Bekaert LLP (“the Firm”) today announced it has reached an agreement to transfer ownership of its Asheboro, N.C, office to LBA Haynes Strand, PLLC, effective July 31, 2019. The announcement aligns with Cherry Bekaert’s strategy to establish greater specialization and depth in larger markets.

After conducting extensive due diligence, Cherry Bekaert determined that LBA Haynes Strand, PLLC would be the best fit for clients who have been served by the Firm’s Asheboro office.

“Providing the very best service to our clients is always our top priority,” said Cherry Bekaert CEO and Firm Managing Partner Michelle Loyd Thompson. “We have many long-standing, valued relationships that have been developed through our Asheboro office, so it was critical that we find a great firm in the area to which clients could easily transition. Having worked with the team at LBA Haynes Strand over the past several months on this transaction, we are confident our past clients will be well-served by LBA Haynes Strand going forward. We are working very closely and collaboratively with LBA Haynes Strand so clients can experience a seamless transition,” Thompson added.

Cherry Bekaert will continue to make a difference for its clients across North Carolina with more concentrated specialty resources in other practice locations. It will continue to operate North Carolina offices in the greater Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham areas, among its other offices throughout the Eastern U.S. and Texas, to serve clients and guide them forward.

With this transaction, LBA Haynes Strand, PLLC, adds Asheboro to its North Carolina-based accounting, assurance, tax and advisory firm, with offices in Matthews, Greensboro, Mount Airy and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
