by Choate Construction on March 14, 2023

RALEIGH, NC, March 15, 2023 – Choate Construction Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Hartig to Director of Operations in its Raleigh office. Formerly a Project Executive in Choate Construction’s Charlotte office, Hartig is known for his tenacity, client forward approach, and creating processes that provide efficiencies and operational excellence on behalf of Choate’s clients and their builds. He is a results-driven leader skilled in creating efficiencies and providing leadership and mentorship for those working with him.

Hartig earned his Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis on Building Construction from Virginia Tech. He has worked in all project phases, from preconstruction to closeout,  experience that has given him in-depth knowledge in pursuing the best value for clients. Additionally, his time in operations highlighted Hartig’s prowess of leading teams and solidified his reputation as a trusted advocate for client goals.

As a Choate employee-owner for nearly 20 years, Hartig successfully completed a variety of unique and complex projects, including Clemson University’s Dominion Energy Innovation Center, Red Ventures Corporate Campus, and Kentucky Motor Speedway. Hartig’s vast project experience will sharpen Choate Raleigh’s execution in the broad range of market sectors in which we build, including senior living, distribution and manufacturing, automotive, and corporate offices. Choate Raleigh looks forward to Hartig’s tenure.

According to Seth Ellington, Division Manager for Choate in Raleigh, “Bringing Matt to Raleigh furthers our mission to provide exceptional service and operational excellence on our projects. With Matt on board, our operations teams will be led by a highly experienced employee-owner with the dedication, discipline, and resourcefulness to deliver outcomes for our clients and proper stewardship of their goals.”

An avid outdoorsman, Hartig enjoys surfing, skiing, golfing, and exercising with his F3 group. His greatest strength and accomplishment is being a husband and father.
