Companies to be Honored for Safety Performance

To honor the 41 South Carolina businesses selected for the 2017 Safety Awards, the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s Division of Labor is hosting a reception at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in the Denny Auditorium on the South Carolina Fire Academy’s Campus, 141 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203.

The event is free and open to the public. Please help the Division of Labor celebrate the Award Recipients. Light refreshments will be served.

The 2017 Safety Award Recipients are in the following three categories:

Palmetto Shining Star

The employer met at least one of the following criteria: no recordable injuries or illnesses during calendar year 2016; at least a 40 percent reduction between 2015 and 2016 employer incidence rates; at least 75 percent below national incidence rate; worked one million or more safe work hours without a lost-time injury or illness.
