Davis & Floyd, Inc. Announces Leadership Team Promotions

Davis & Floyd, Inc., a leading engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm, has promoted several key members of its leadership team.

Michael Horton, PE, CFM

Michael Horton, PE, CFM, has been promoted to Executive Vice President. He continues to serve as Davis & Floyd’s Chief Engineering Officer, overseeing technical delivery of professional services and project management. For over 30 years, he has specialized in hydrology and hydraulics, leading stormwater innovation, sustainability efforts, and progressive green infrastructure development at Davis & Floyd. He received both his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in hydrology and hydraulics from Clemson University.

Brent Robertson, PE, LEED AP

Brent Robertson, PE, LEED AP, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. In this role, he leads the firm’s civil site engineering and landscape architecture/land planning teams statewide. For over 35 years at Davis & Floyd, he has worked across multiple market sectors on industrial, government, residential, and mixed-use projects. He coordinates with clients to deliver projects on time and within budget. He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Brice Urquhart, PE

Brice Urquhart, PE, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. He has over 30 years of experience designing, managing, and providing on-site engineering for over $2 billion in complex highway and bridge projects across multiple states. For over a decade, he served as Davis & Floyd’s Vice President of Transportation, leading the firm’s transportation as well as construction engineering and inspection (CEI) teams. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Clemson University.

According to Davis & Floyd President Josh Fowler, PE, “Each of these individuals has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to our team, our clients, and our long-term vision. Their promotions reflect not only past performance, but also the confidence we have in their ability to lead us forward as we continue to grow and evolve. Additionally, from an Operations perspective these promotions will allow us opportunities to become more efficient and prepare the next wave of leaders within the technical disciplines and the firm. We are fortunate to have leaders of this caliber on our team, and I am excited about what’s ahead with them in these expanded roles.”
