DHG Donates more than $77,000 During Annual Count the Cans Campaign

by Dixon Hughes Goodman on June 28, 2019

Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP (DHG) hosted its eighth annual Count the Cans food drive in June with strong participation from team members. Over the 10-day campaign, DHG gave more than $77,000 and volunteered more than 1,000 service hours at local hunger relief organizations across the DHG footprint.

“It was amazing to see all of our people come together over 10 days to make an impact as ONE DHG. When we first started our Count the Cans campaign eight years ago, our goal was to empower our people to give back and make a difference in our local communities,” says Matt Snow, Chief Executive Officer. “From intern to partner, our team members are passionate and enthusiastic about this annual giving campaign.”

DHG employess volunteering for community service

The firm strategically hosts its annual food drive during summer months to help food banks and hunger relief organizations stock their shelves while children are out of school and without nutritious school meals.

In June, DHG also received the 2019 “We AAM to Serve” award, which salutes the corporate social responsibility philosophy of firms that go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities. The Association for Accounting Marketing presents the “We AAM to Serve” award annually as a way to showcase accounting firms’ philanthropic efforts and honor the many ways member firms give back, bring about change and build stronger communities where they live and work.
