Driving AI Innovation: Gray’s Data Center Leadership in the National Spotlight
As the demand for AI and more data continues to rise, Gray’s work in the Data Center market is playing a critical role in this rapidly expanding industry.

Gray, a fully integrated design-builder, was recently highlighted in a New York Times’ piece showcasing the Data Center market. This industry is advancing at a blistering pace thanks to the constant need for more data, widespread adoption of AI, and even recent Executive Orders that prompt market growth.
Gray is currently building 22 data centers across the U.S. These large-scale facilities house powerful computers that are helping drive AI innovation. As more data is demanded, real estate for these Data Centers is becoming a hot commodity. But even more than just the facility’s footprint – each project requires additional, nearby outdoor storage sites to secure millions of dollar’s worth of equipment, tools, and trailers.
“For each project, we need space large enough to store generators, tractors, trailers, and other essential equipment,” explained Ben Burgett, Gray’s Vice President of Data Centers. “While rising costs for these outdoor storage areas are a challenge, they’re balanced by the tremendous growth we’re seeing in data center construction.”
By partnering with our customers, Gray is delivering the spaces and solutions that make next-generation technology possible.
