ECS Announces Derek Clyburn as Subsidiary President in Southeast
ECS is pleased to announce Derek Clyburn, PE has been promoted to Subsidiary President of ECS Southeast, LLP.
Clyburn succeeds Steve Gosselin, PG who will take on the role of Executive Vice President supporting Clyburn and the Southeast Management Team in day to day operations, business development efforts, expanding the Subsidiary National and Regional Accounts Program, and developing a corporate mentoring program.

A member of the ECS team since 1997, Clyburn brings over 25 years of experience in geotechnical and construction materials engineering, special inspections and environmental services. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and Master of Business Administration from University of Tennessee. Clyburn is actively involved with many regional and state professional organizations and has served in many board level positions. He most recently served as President for the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina and now serves as its National Director.
Gosselin joined the ECS team in 1996 as Principal Geologist and served as Director of Business Development, Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Subsidiary President. Under his leadership, ECS Southeast grew from 280 employees in three states to over 600 employees in seven states including two acquisitions. Gosselin received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Texas A&M University.
