EdGate Creates the Largest Career Technical Education Standards Database
Publishers can accelerate sales to the fast growing Career and Technical Education market using EdGate’s CTE repository, correlation services and publisher tools. Career Technical Education (CTE) and Common Career Technical Core (CCTC) standards are provided through the EdGate repository. The CCTC are benchmark standards that define what a student needs to know and to be able to do at the end of a full program of study, whereas the CTE state standards are course-level standards that focus on specific occupations or job categories and reflect the individual state’s economy. Florida offers a large number of CTE courses related to health science. For a state that has historically been known to support large numbers of retirees, preparing young people to care for its elderly population makes sense. In South Carolina, there is a focus on the area of Architecture and Construction.
