Executive Responsibility Expanded for Gilbane’s Mid-Atlantic Division to Include North Carolina Offices
As Gilbane Building Company strategically develops its geographic presence across the mid-Atlantic region, the company announced an expanded executive leadership role for Paul Choquette III, senior vice president, which encompasses Gilbane’s North Carolina operations in Raleigh and Charlotte. Choquette has current accountability for offices in Arlington, VA/Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; Baltimore, MD; and Philadelphia, PA.
“With nearly 20 years of experience, Paul will work with our North Carolina-based senior vice president, Paul Sullivan, to implement the firm’s Vision 2025 plan, achieve strategic growth, and recruit/retain high performing team members to safely deliver operational excellence to our clients,” said Thomas Laird, executive vice president of Gilbane Building Company. “As a fifth-generation family member, Paul is passionate about Gilbane’s core values, ethics and commitment to safety which are all important to our growth.”
Choquette joined Gilbane in 2001 and has worked in all facets of the company. He is an active participant in the community and industry organizations. He currently serves as chairman for the ACE Mentor Program of Washington, D.C., board member of the Montgomery Country Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School in Washington, D.C., and serves as a trustee and executive committee member of the Federal City Council. Additionally, he is a strong advocate for employee development and advancement. Choquette serves as the executive sponsor of the company-wide Black/African-American Employee Resource Group whose mission is to foster an inclusive culture by attracting and supporting professional development, community engagement and providing a voice across the company.
Choquette holds a BA from Brown University, and a MBA from Northeastern University. He resides with his wife and two children in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
