Fall 2023 Results: Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 2 Student Competitions
Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 2 has announced the results of its Fall 2023 Student Competition. Region 2 covers 8 southeastern US states and Puerto Rico and includes 28 accredited construction schools that stretch from Virginia southward to Florida and westward to Mississippi.
The 2023 ASC Region 2 competition was once again held in early November in Peachtree City, Georgia. The number of students competing, and the level of the competitions continues to increase. This year, 30 teams from 15 universities competed in six categories: Design-Build, Concrete, Preconstruction, Commercial, Heavy Civil, and Shadow Competition. Nearly 300 students, faculty, and industry sponsors participated in the career fair and student competitions that concluded with an award ceremony recognizing the top schools for each problem category.

The Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) is the professional association of construction educators and industry practitioners working together for the development and advancement of construction education. It promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge and inspires, guides and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research and service. There are 143 four-year Construction Management programs of member universities and nine two-year member schools. Graduates from these institutions fill entry-level positions as project engineers, estimators, safety managers, superintendents, BIM managers, preconstruction, document control and communication positions, schedulers, etc.
