FMI Advises Appalachian Insulation Supply and Wolf Pak Transport in Sale to Cameron Ashley Building Products

by FMI on March 28, 2024

FMI Capital Advisors is pleased to announce the sale of Appalachian Insulation Supply, Inc. (AIS) and Wolf Pak Transport, LLC to Cameron Ashley Building Products (Cameron Ashley), a portfolio company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners. FMI Capital Advisors served as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor to AIS and Wolf Pak Transport for this transaction.

Based in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, AIS is a leading distributor of Johns Manville insulation products, including fiberglass, sheathing, spray foam and other insulation accessories. The company operates out of nine strategic warehouses located in high growth markets throughout the Eastern United States, servicing builders, insulation contractors and distributors. This acquisition positions Cameron Ashley as a leading insulation distributor in the U.S.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cameron Ashley, a trusted heritage brand that is synonymous with high quality products and services,” said Barry Brinser, president of AIS. “We are grateful for the immense support we have received from both Pacific Avenue and Cameron Ashley in executing this transaction seamlessly.”

Brinser added, “We hired FMI because of their knowledge and expertise in the building products market. Porter and his team did a fantastic job communicating Appalachian’s unique story to the market and found us the right partner at the right price. We are thrilled to be joining the Cameron Ashley team and strongly believe they will honor and safeguard my brother Bill’s legacy.”

Wolf Pak Transport runs a fleet of over 100 trucks primarily servicing AIS and its customers with timely and dependable transportation services.
