FMI Releases Quarterly Publication

by FMI Corporation on March 10, 2018

The Future Is Now: Setting Yourself Up for Success

FMI Corporation, a leading provider of management consulting and investment banking services to engineering and construction, infrastructure and the built environment, is pleased to announce the release of its first “FMI Quarterly” issue for 2018. The publication (co-sponsored by Zurich) comprises a collection of industry insights and strategies focused on technology and long-term industry trends shaping the transformation of today’s engineering and construction industry.

Scott Winstead, president of FMI management consulting, states, “The risk in remaining solely focused on the short term is that the industry will likely look and operate very differently in 10 years than it does today, and firms may find themselves on the outside looking in if they fail to study external trends and adapt their business models and approaches.”

In this Quarterly edition, authors review several topics, including how to stay ahead of industry disruption, how to leverage technology and simplify project complexity, and discuss what types of employees the E&C industry will need over the next few years. Authors also point out emerging O&M opportunities in the solar photovoltaics market and provide insights around how to develop a future-ready board of directors.
