Go Build America Launching December 2017
Before Go Build was launched in 2010, the organizers looked at the multitude of approaches that industry organizations and associations had taken over the years in an attempt to address the continued labor crisis and communicate with young people about the trades. The Go Build Team quickly realized – just as those groups did – that the results of those short-term marketing blitzes, one-off campaigns, grassroots events, and sponsorships were often immeasurable and their impact was minimal.
With that in mind, Go Build was created: a completely unique, sustained, public relations and education campaign that interacts and engages students, parents, and influencers at multiple touchpoints. Rather than a cacophony of industry organizations pushing a specific trade or training program, Go Build seeks to rebrand and redefine our industry by presenting young people information about all of the career opportunities in the trades.
However, until now Go Build has only operated sweeping statewide campaigns on behalf of broad industry coalitions such as those in Alabama, Tennessee, and California. Developed with state and local associations, training providers, and workforce development organizations in mind, Go Build America will serve as the industry’s most comprehensive national workforce initiative – providing program partners a curated mix of each of Go Build’s critical engagement components to use locally as needed, with the full ongoing support and strategic insight from Go Build at the national level – at a the fraction of the cost of a full Go Build state program.
Launching late 2017, Go Build America will also feature an entirely new program component that allows incumbent workers to submit online resumes for job opportunities posted on our website by Go Build America program partners. Go Build is expanding on its already successful efforts of fulfilling the future pipeline, but also addressing imminent workforce needs.
Whether it’s a customized state program or a Go Build America partnership, you’ll become part of a strategic nationwide outreach and public relations campaign with a national rallying cry to coalesce around: Go Build.
