Inspiring the Next Generation to Choose Careers in Construction through Books
Attention Carolinas construction community: The CAGC Foundation and their recently introduced mascot, “Lane the Loader,” need your help loading libraries and schools across the Carolinas with books about construction.
GroundBreak Carolinas caught up with Dr. Caroline Brigmon, Carolinas AGC Director, Education, Training, & Workforce Development, who explained how CAGC members and non-members can donate to the Lane the Loader fund.
“The Lane the Loader initiative by CAGC Foundation aims to inspire the next generation by supplying books about construction to public and school libraries, daycares, children’s hospital wings, and shelters across the Carolinas,” said Dr. Brigmon. “By donating, individuals can choose the books and destinations for delivery, fostering educational opportunities and interest in the construction industry among young readers.”
You pick which book (or suggest another construction book) and how many, (send 1 or a ton). You pick the destination(s) (i.e.: Public Library, School Library, Kindergarten, Classroom, Hospital Children’s wing, etc.) to be delivered to with your custom Dedication Label inside.
