Julia Kunlo Promoted to Vice President of Evolution Safety Resources

by Joan Krause, GroundBreak Carolinas on July 5, 2018

Julia Kunlo has been promoted to Vice President of Evolution Safety Resources (ESR), a safety consultation firm based in Raleigh.  Kunlo had been director of client relations since ESR’s inception in early 2017 and was instrumental in helping establish the start-up company in the Carolinas market while expanding services across the country and internationally.

Kunlo’s safety-related credentials include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Advance Safety Certificate (ASC). Over the past year, she began instructing National Safety Council ASC courses, and started a master’s degree program in Occupational Safety and Health.

ESR President Tim Neubauer shared that Julia was the first person he called when discussions for ESR began. “We are thrilled to have someone of Julia’s expertise and caliber for this position. Her energy and work ethic is infectious; our team and our clients were excited to hear the news.”

A graduate of Virginia’s James Madison University, Kunlo began her career with a steel, precast, and tilt-up erector servicing the D.C. Metro area. Her initial position was within the production department, but she was soon tasked with quality, and eventually safety management. In this last role, Kunlo says she discovered her passion. The 26-year-old Kunlo credits her early success to a combination of strategic risk taking, valuable mentorships, a focus on professional development, and exceptionally hard work. “It took a lot of sacrifice, but I truly enjoyed each step because I love what I do,” said Kunlo. “I’m so proud to be a part of a wonderful and thriving company.”

About Evolution Safety Resources – Evolution Safety Resources is safety consultation firm that develops customized safety solutions for a wide client base. By offering a plethora of safety services (such as training, program development, ISNetworld/Avetta compliance, staffing, and more), ESR strives to reduce incident rates and ensure regulatory compliance.
