LS3P’s Steve Ramos Named One of Charleston’s Forty Under 40
LS3P’s Stephen Ramos, AIA, LEED AP BD + C, has been selected as a 2017 Forty Under 40 winner by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the Forty Under 40 awards. Since 1998, this elite 40 has been comprised of people under 40 years of age who have excelled in the professional arena and in community involvement.
Ramos is an LS3P Associate Principal and graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Architecture as well as a Master of Architecture with a focus on Urban Design. He joined LS3P in 2008. His diverse portfolio includes designs for commercial, education, and hospitality clients. Most notably, his recent design for Charleston’s Spectator Hotel earned the distinction of #1 Hotel in the US and #2 Hotel in the World from Travel + Leisure magazine. In 2015, Ramos founded BuildingsAreCool.com, an online blog and design forum that has helped shape the discourse on design in Charleston.
Ramos is also active in professional and community service, including volunteer work for AIA Charleston, the Charleston Miracle League and the Charleston chapter of Architecture for Humanity.
Winners were nominated by members of the Charleston community, and a panel of judges determined which nominees would be named to the 2017 class of Forty Under 40. This group of 40 individuals will be recognized at a Forty Under 40 event on Wednesday, May 10.
The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant. For more information or to reserve tickets, please visit http://www.charlestonbusiness.com/events/charleston-forty-under-40/.
