Mashburn Construction Marks 50 Years with Corporate Headquarters Relocation

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff on February 18, 2026

Mashburn Construction, one of South Carolina’s most trusted construction companies, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of growth, expertise, and commitment to the communities it serves. As part of this milestone year, the company announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Seaboard Vista, reflecting both its enduring roots in Columbia and its vision for the future.

Founded in 1976, Mashburn Construction has grown from a local builder into a full-service construction firm with a statewide footprint, known for long-standing client relationships, a strong internal culture, and a collaborative approach to building. Over the past 50 years, the company has delivered projects across a wide range of markets while remaining grounded in the values that have defined Mashburn since its earliest days. The firm continues to thrive in all four locations of Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.

“As we reflect on 50 years in business, this anniversary is really about our people, past and present, who have built this company project by project and relationship by relationship,” said Lee Mashburn, President of Mashburn Construction. “Relocating our headquarters during this milestone year represents a natural evolution of who we are today and where we’re headed next.”

Mashburn has experienced more than 25% growth in its employee base over the past two years, driven by continued demand across its project portfolio and its reputation as a top workplace in the construction industry. The new headquarters will support this growth while providing a modern, flexible environment designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

The headquarters relocation aligns with Mashburn’s broader anniversary theme—honoring its legacy while investing in the future. By reimagining an existing structure within a revitalized downtown corridor, the company continues its long-standing practice of thoughtful building and reinvestment in the communities where it operates. “The Vista is the heartbeat of Columbia, and we are thrilled to help develop one of the most historic and prominent buildings in that area. It is fitting to kick off the next half century in located at Seaboard Vista,” said Paul Mashburn, Chief Executive Officer of Mashburn Construction.

Mashburn anticipates completing the headquarters relocation in late 2026, aligning with its anniversary celebrations.

Mashburn Construction is a full-service construction company providing construction management, design-build, preconstruction and general contracting services. For over four decades, the company has exemplified Partnering to Deliver an Exceptional Building Experience by providing superior service and quality to clients across many markets. Headquartered in Columbia, Mashburn also has offices in Charleston, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach, SC. For more information, please visit www.MashburnConstruction.com.
