McCrory Construction’s Greenville Operation Moves to Larger, Strategically Located Office Space

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff Report on April 11, 2023

McCrory Construction, South Carolina’s oldest general contractor, has moved its Upstate operation into a new, larger office space in Greenville to support the firm’s ever-increasing business in the region. McCrory’s primary markets of focus are industrial/manufacturing and commercial/office/retail.

Effective March 27, 2023, McCrory took occupancy of a single-story, stand-alone building within an established commerce park on the east side of Greenville. With nearly triple the space of the Upstate team’s previous location of the past eight years, the move positions McCrory for continued growth in staff, as well as geographic reach.

Strategically located near the I-85 and Pelham Road interchange, the new location provides McCrory team members with easy interstate access to other regions of the state as well as North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. The new office is equally convenient for out-of-state clients and other visitors given its close proximity to GSP International Airport, and associated hotels and restaurants.

“We are extremely excited about our new office space and all that it has to offer our employees, clients and partners,” said Stephen Cooper, Director of Greenville Operations for McCrory Construction. “As our team and market share has grown, so has our need for both larger and reconfigured space. We are all about teamwork, and our office layout and amenities are specifically designed to foster collaboration.”

McCrory’s own team coordinated construction for the 6,000-square-foot building upfit, which included installation of new flooring and fixtures, complete interior painting, and selective demolition of existing walls and doorways for operational efficiency. A multi-purpose, classroom-style training room with the latest technology lends itself to onsite collaboration meetings with design-build partners, and an executive conference room offers a smaller setting for a wide range of other meetings.

McCrory President Allen Bridgers noted, “With this move, McCrory will be able to continue hiring the best people and supporting our clients’ ever-evolving needs for years to come. Whether we are delivering a headquarters facility, a retail-anchored development, or a complex and logistically difficult industrial project, our new location and office configuration is going to prove invaluable in helping us continue to exceed client expectations.”

Key local contractors that worked on the project include SC Drywall, Upstate Interior Specialists, CarolinaPower, Waldrop Mechanical, and Satterfield Woodworking.

McCrory’s new Greenville office address is 20 Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615. The office phone is Phone: (864) 603-5840.
