McCrory Construction’s Sheila Nelson Named NAWIC-Columbia Member of the Year

Columbia, South Carolina — McCrory Construction is pleased to announce that Shelia Nelson, CIT, project assistant, has been named Member of the Year by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)’s Columbia S.C. Chapter #113. Nelson received the award last month at Columbia-NAWIC’s Annual Employer Appreciation Breakfast. Nelson is NAWIC-Columbia’s incoming Chapter Vice President for 2018-2019.

Nelson has been with McCrory nearly five years. Her professional credentials include Construction Industry Technician (CIT).

NAWIC is an organization that supports women in the construction industry by offering mentoring, educational programs and networking opportunities. The group also awards scholarships for young men and women pursuing degrees in the A/E/C industries as well as other community outreach programs.
