Melvin Williams, F.SAME, FACEC Elected Senior Vice Chair of ACEC National Board
Each year the incoming National American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Executive Committee has the responsibility of electing a Senior Vice Chair and this year Melvin Williams, F.SAME, FACEC and Vice-President with Terracon – based in Charleston – has been elected this year to fill this role. The Senior Vice Chair position is second in line of succession (behind the Chair-elect) should the office of Chair be vacated. Also, as with other Vice Chairs, the Senior Vice Chair may be assigned duties and may preside at any meeting of the Council, the Board of Directors, or the Executive Committee at the request of the Chair. As Senior Vice Chair; Williams will also serve as a Board Member for the ACEC Research Institute.
