Mike Foushee to Lead Brasfield & Gorrie’s Carolinas Operations

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff on February 10, 2026

Mike Foushee has stepped into the role of Brasfield & Gorrie Carolinas Region President with a clear vision for strengthening communities, expanding opportunity and elevating the company’s impact across the region. From B&G’s office in Charlotte, he will guide strategy and operations across the general contractor’s offices in the region, which also include Raleigh and Greenville, South Carolina. The company’s Carolinas region projects $1.2 billion of revenue in 2026.

Foushee, a Greenville, S.C. native, has been part of Brasfield & Gorrie for more than two decades, advancing through operational leadership roles. He most recently served as regional president in Atlanta, where his teams delivered large and complex commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, industrial and mission critical developments. Those projects included Science Square at Georgia Tech, Spark Life Science, 12th & Midtown, Midtown Union, Project Blackwell, the U.S. Soccer National Training Center and multiple Omni Hotel developments across the country. Widely regarded for his people-first leadership approach, Foushee focuses on empowering teams, developing future leaders and fostering long-term partnerships.

“Mike is a proven leader who deeply understands both our clients and our people,” said Rob Blalock, Brasfield & Gorrie CEO. “His ability to build high-performing teams, develop strong client relationships and deliver exceptional results will continue to strengthen our presence in the Carolinas. Mike knows the Southeast because he’s lived it, and his mix of big-picture experience and local insight is exactly what this market needs.”

As leader of the Carolinas Region, Foushee will guide strategic growth across all sectors: commercial, healthcare, mission critical, industrial, heavy civil and government. The Carolinas represent one of the fastest-growing development areas in the Southeast, with billions in planned construction—an opportunity Foushee says is well aligned with Brasfield & Gorrie’s capabilities and future vision.

“There’s meaningful opportunity for growth in the Carolinas,” Foushee said. “We’re focused on expanding our market presence while staying true to what defines Brasfield & Gorrie: building strong relationships, investing in our communities and delivering exceptional work that makes a lasting difference. As demand grows—especially in commercial, mission critical, advanced manufacturing and healthcare—we’re well positioned to help our clients achieve their goals.”

Foushee also emphasized the company’s turnkey delivery model, a growing differentiator for clients seeking predictability, efficiency and specialized expertise. The general contractor’s services include site selection, in-house design, VDC and 3-D modeling, prefabrication, procurement and MEP management.

“Our self-performed sitework and concrete capabilities, along with our turnkey approach, are significant differentiators—which allow us to provide a seamless, integrated experience that helps clients accelerate schedules, drive efficiency and reduce risk,” he said.

Brasfield & Gorrie’s portfolio across North and South Carolina includes some of the states’ most complex and high-profile projects. Ally Charlotte Center, the Camperdown Mixed-Use Development, North Hills, Greenville’s Carroll A. Campbell Jr. U.S. Courthouse, Charlotte’s Charles R. Jonas Federal Courthouse, Milo’s Tea Advanced Manufacturing Facility, the Raleigh Civic Tower, and numerous award-winning healthcare and institutional developments are hallmarks of their work in the region.

Beyond the company’s doors, Foushee is engaged in professional and community organizations, including the Associated General Contractors of America, NAIOP, the U.S. Green Building Council and The Roc. A Clemson University graduate, he remains closely connected to the university’s Construction Science and Management program and is committed to strengthening workforce development pathways that support the long-term vitality of the Carolinas.
