by Joan Krause, GroundBreak Carolinas on February 19, 2019

NAWIC Charlotte (Chapter 121) has a wide variety of events planned for 2019’s Women in Construction (WIC) Week, a national celebration that runs from Sunday, March 3 through Saturday, March 9. The theme for this year’s WIC Week theme is “Be the Power in Your Success.”

Join NAWIC Charlotte on Sunday at 5 p.m. for a WIC Week Kickoff Dinner at Parry’s Pizzeria, Northlake.

On Monday, members are encouraged to introduce NAWIC to colleagues and co-workers, providing breakfast or lunch to spark conversation.

A Lunch & Learn will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Charlotte Toolbank, South End. Participants will hear about Toolbank’s program and the Tools in Schools program.

“Paint Outside the Lines,” a ceramic crafts night is planned for Wednesday at A Little Bit of Art, Belmont.  This event starts at 7 p.m.

On Thursday at 5 p.m., join Charlotte NAWIC, PCEA, NCSA, MMCA & HCAC for “Build Powerful Connections,” a multi-organization construction networking mixer at The Unknown Brewing Company, South End.

For their TGIF event, NAWIC Charlotte will gather at 7 p.m. at The Rage Room, Indian Trail, to release stress and “break things.”

On Saturday at 11 a.m., there will be a Members-Only site tour of a renovated warehouse space in the Gold District of South End . Others are invited to join NAWIC members for lunch at 12:30 p.m. after the tour. All are welcome to take a tour around Charlotte on the Funny Bus, starting at 3 p.m. from First Ward Park, Uptown.
